About Us

We advocate for policies, funding, and infrastructure that protect and elevate the Austin artists.

A3 is Austin’s oldest arts organization, with roots that reach back over a century. Formerly the Texas Fine Arts Association, we helped found the Elisabet Ney Museum and the Contemporary Austin Museum (formerly Laguna Gloria), and for decades, we brought the community together through the Arts and Crafts Fiesta. Later, as Art Alliance Austin, we produced Art City Austin and other programs—until the pandemic forced a pause in 2020. In 2024, A3 Art Alliance Austin emerged to continue this legacy, this time expanding our reach to musicians, performing artists, curators, and arts organizations, with a focus on direct financial support and advocacy to sustain Austin’s creative ecosystem.
