Theatregoers and theatremakers come together to celebrate excellence on local stages at the Austin Theatre Critics Awards 2025!

Our city’s theatre critics have been meeting monthly to chat about what they’ve seen, and they’d like to share their faves with YOU during a special evening at The 04 Center on Monday, June 9th, — a.k.a. Tony Awards Hangover Day — from 7 to 9 p.m. DOORS OPEN AT 6:30 FOR MINGLING & REFRESHMENTS!

(Unlike the “Tonys,” the “Critics” promise exactly zero fancy production numbers! But, theatre math predicts a high probability of something else: cash bar + >10 actors + 1 musical director extraordinaire tickling the ivories = impromptu community sing-along when you least expect it.)

Centerstage for this festive evening will be: the joy of being together as Austin theatregoers, the stellar theatremaking nominees, and the acceptance speeches from the winners.
